About Clinical Research

The objectives of the Clinical Research section are as follows:

  • To provide an appropriate educational resource that promotes continuous advancement in professional knowledge and improved treatment of disorders of the knee.

  • To create an avenue through which members may share information on clinical research in progress.

The Clinical Research Section contains several navigational links that allow the user to access resources for research on knee surgery (replacement and repair), including research on surgical techniques and device design. In the near future, there are plans to add resources for information on late-breaking research in knee surgery-related topics (eg, intra-articular medication, anticoagulation, rehabilitation, etc).

The Clinical Research section of the Knee Society web site is open to all web site users for review. Hyperlinks to research report sources and to clinical trial enrollment request sites are available to all users. Only members of The Knee Society may submit research abstracts for e-publication in the "New Research" subsection.
